THE History of The Feast of Lanterns.

This event, which started with the parent club way back in 1921, is based on Chinese tradition, where campers congregate at a selected site bringing hand-made lanterns to decorate their units with. This event is still immensely popular today, being the club’s largest annual event attended by hundreds of people.

Each year there is a different theme around which many people decorate their caravans, motorhomes and tents for the mutual enjoyment of everyone else. Every year this event never fails to amaze everyone at the enginuity of those creating the street scenes and individual displays.

Entertainment is laid on all weekend by both professional artists and also by club members. There is also a Trade area where you can get all your caravanning essentials and spares at bargain prices.

This is an event not to be missed !!
